Good Afternoon Englewood Families,

 This is an update on the weather situation and the impact on Englewood.  The district is allowing you to pick up your child early from school, if you wish, due to the flooding in outer areas.  Englewood is safe, dry, and in no danger of flooding and will remain open until 2:55pm. 

There are areas within our attendance area that have flooded or where waterways are at a critical point at roadway bridges.  This presents a very real and potential hazard for students who walk or ride bikes. Because it has been determined that it may be unsafe for students to walk or ride, we will not allow any student to walk or ride home today after school without an adult.

ALL STUDENTS MUST BE PICKED UP FROM SCHOOL BY AN ADULT. ANY STUDENT WALKING WITHOUT AN ADULT WILL BE ASKED TO WAIT IN THE OFFICE UNTIL AN ADULT CAN PICK THEM UP.

 Just to repeat:

§         Englewood is dry, safe, and will remain open until 2:55pm.

§         You may pick up your child at any time today. Just come on up to the office and we’ll take care of you as soon as possible. 

§         No student may walk home without an adult due to unsafe road conditions surrounding Englewood.

§         Buses will operate as usual.

§         All after-school programs are cancelled, including Math Whizz, Eagle Academy, Y-Care, and Boys & Girls Club.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.  Student safety is our TOP priority and we need to ensure EVERY student makes it home safely.
